I'm a west coast artist, living on an island in the north pacific. My parents were lighthouse keepers, so I grew up on an even smaller island, surrounded by the natural world and lots of ocean. This has given me a deep appreciation of wildlife and nature, which I focus on for much of my artwork.
My licensed artworks are currently carried in retail shops in North American including Walmart. I've also worked with retail companies to produce custom lines of products including Canadian National Parks and Smart Set. I've been lucky enough to have had my art products featured in a number of magazines within Canada.
Throughout the years I've discovered that I really love working on many projects in many different styles and materials, mostly at the same time. Experimenting with mixed media and trying new combinations to come up with surprising results is one of my favourite things to do when creating new artwork. Nothing is taboo.
I graduated from Emily Carr University, but have attended four other universities throughout North America as well. In the last few years I have had two solo shows and a number of group shows, as well as being published in WOO magazine. As well, I've also illustrated two children's books and taught art classes for young people.
